Bio-Med Tech-Girls Day 2 "homework"

Wow - so much to absorb from day 2 of Bio-Med Tech-Girls at UVA BME:

• Spending the morning with Occupational Therapist Extraordinaire, Sue Berres to get a behind-the-scenes tour of Pediatric Therapy & Rehabilitation at the UVA Children’s Hospital and go through empathy exercises.
• Getting to see the bio-printer in action at the Peirce-Cottler Lab.
• Working through the Design Thinking process.

Don’t forget your "homework" assignments:

• Spend 15 minutes this evening going about a typical activity you would do, but without the use your arms. Afterwards, reflect on: 1) what was the most challenging thing to do? 2) how did you feel while you were doing this assignment? 3) what most surprised you about doing this assignment? Share your reflection on the blog or e-mail it to me.
• Bring in a pair of glasses or sunglasses tomorrow.
• If you have a smartphone, look up some VR apps, games, experiences and download them on your phone (free ones:).
