I would first off like to say a BIG thank you to Kim Wilkens, David Chen, and all of the undergraduates who have helped organize this awesome, fun-filled week and for giving up an entire week of their summers to help us out for the entire day. They've taught me a lot and really made this experience fun! I would also like the thank all of the speakers and people in the labs to take time out of their busy schedules to give us a more in-depth view of what biomedical engineers do in the real world. It was really cool to see the tools and machines that the scientists used in the lab here for research, but also it was really interesting to hear about how the speakers help people directly, here in Charlottesville or even in Africa! This whole experience wouldn't have been the same without all of these people, and they all really helped me become more interested in biomedical engineering, so THANK YOU!
